33 weeks

I'm afraid the chalkboard pictures are officially retired for baby 2 and now it is exclusively gym pictures!

How far along?: 33 weeks (I'm writing this as if it were last Thursday when I was supposed to write it!)
Maternity clothes: Of course and I went out and got a couple of new/longer workout tanks since I was still in a few prepreg tanks that were way too short.
Best moment this week: Finn and I went home last weekend (weekend before Easter weekend) and on Saturday I met up with my best friends for the first time in what felt like forever - it was so nice to have time with them to just talk and not be interrupted and just relax!
Symptoms: I have been having a ton of pressure and pains which I didn't get with Finn until 39 weeks so either this baby is going to make an early entrance or this is just how the second pregnancy is.
Miss anything?: Nothing really.
Movement: So much more than I did with Finn, this kid never stops moving!
Food cravings: Nothing in general this week.
Have you started to show yet?: Oh yes.
Gender prediction: Little man 2!
Mood: Still just tired and wanting to not do anything once I get home from work, but oh yeah I'm a mom this time around and that's not possible!
Looking forward to: Easter weekend at our house with my parents! (remember I'm writing this as if Easter hasn't happened yet, even though it has!)

30 weeks

How far along?: 30 weeks
Maternity clothes: Yep, maternity pants and tanks still in full force. Some of my workout shirts are even starting to get a little short so I may have to get a couple in a larger size.
Best moment this week: The weather is finally nice so Finn and I were able to go for a walk while Tom was teaching.
Symptoms: I had sore shins a few times this week while running but no actually shin splints. Little man seems to like to stretch out all the time which is actually really painful and it happens all the time too but especially when I'm sitting so if I stand it's not too bad.
Miss anything?: Nothing really.
Movement: Tons!
Food cravings: Nothing in general this week.
Have you started to show yet?: Oh yes.
Gender prediction: Little man 2! Although I've had a bunch of dreams the past few weeks where we have a girl. Part of me isn't 100% convinced it's a boy, my intuition has told me since the beginning it's a girl and I guess our tech who did the anatomy scan makes me feel uncertain since she wasn't particularly nice and barely took a half hour whereas Finn's took over 45mins. If I make it until 40 weeks I get another ultrasound to see if my fluid levels are low since they were with Finn so we'll find out then or at birth to be 100% sure!
Mood: Pretty much just exhausted and a little more frustrated too.
Looking forward to: A weekend at home - I really want to clean the house and declutter like crazy so I guess nesting is already starting to kick in. And in two weeks we're headed home and I'm having a girls lunch with my best friends who I haven;t seen in far too long and I feel like a giddy kid waiting for the day to come!

28 weeks

Yep, another gym picture. Sorry if you have already seen this on Instagram :)

How far along?: 28 weeks
Maternity clothes: Yep, maternity pants and tanks in full force.
Best moment this week: Tom teaches an anatomy and physiology class two nights a week at a community college right now so Finn and I have a lot of mommy time, but most nights he now crawls up and lays with me and puts his head on my stomach and then knocks on it with his little fist like it's a door!
Symptoms: No shin splints still but the Braxton hicks have been coming back lately and my stomach is just sore in general.
Miss anything?: Nothing really.
Movement: Tons!
Food cravings: I've been wanting a red velvet cupcake in the worst way lately but there are no good cake shops near us and Hannaford's cupcakes just don't measure up.
Have you started to show yet?: Oh yes.
Gender prediction: Little man 2!
Mood: Pretty much just exhausted.
Looking forward to: Heading to Burlington this weekend for a little staycation with my sister in-laws and our nephew! It will be awesome to see Finn with Jay since he's a lot more fun now and can actually play with Jay.

27 weeks

No time for a chalkboard picture this week with a teething toddler who just wants to be held.

How far along?: 27 weeks
Maternity clothes: Yes, still just pants with maternity tanks and regular shirts.
Best moment this week: I'm having a lot of fun at my new job so far which is a nice change. I'm starting to work on full branding pieces which is awesome and I'm so happy to get back into marketing.
Symptoms: I haven't had shin splints in a week or braxton hicks. I'm definitely starting to feel sore and big and exhausted haha
Miss anything?: Not much.
Movement: Yes, he's moving like crazy!
Food cravings: We have been watching Cake Boss on Netflix so all I want is a red velvet cupcake or dozen :)
Have you started to show yet?: Yes, i feel like I'm huge now - hello third trimester.
Gender prediction: Little man 2!
Mood: Just exhausted
Looking forward to: A weekend at home doing nothing!

26 weeks

Finn photobomb!

How far along?: 26 weeks
Maternity clothes: Still just maternity bottoms with regular shirts. I just started a new job at the Credit Union as AVP Marketing Specialist so I have to dress up which is proving to be harder than I had hoped. I have 3 pairs of maternity dress pants and then I have dresses that I can wear but finding dressy shirts that are long enough is actually hard so I wear a maternity tank under shirts that are just long enough right now but probably won't be in about 3 weeks.
Best moment this week: Definitely starting my new job! I'm so excited to be with such an awesome company with great benefits and I'm a mile from home.
Symptoms: My shin splints are better due to my new Hoka One One sneakers which I am thrilled about. I had a few nights of braxton hicks this week but I'm thinking it was because I've been in training for 3 days and I've been on my feet doing tours at different buildings, meeting a ton of people and I haven't had as much of a chance to drink water the way I do when I'm sitting at a desk. I've been more aware of drinking a lot of water the last two days and I haven't had any more.
Miss anything?: I really wanted to celebrate my new job with a nice glass of wine but I guess pizza and ice cream will do!
Movement: Oh my goodness he's been moving like crazy the past week. I've had to have meetings with operations managers (since I'm upper management) this week and I swear every time I sit down for them he goes crazy and you can actually see him moving and kicking.
Food cravings: Nothing really since I've been so busy this week.
Have you started to show yet?: Yep although my first day at the new job I was wearing all black and the next day I had on a white shirt and a few people came up to me and said they didn't realize I was pregnant the first day so they probably just thought I was chubby haha
Gender prediction: Little man 2!
Mood: Just exhausted
Looking forward to: A long weekend at home since I now have all government holidays off which is amazing!

24 weeks!

How far along?:
 23 weeks
Maternity clothes: Still just maternity bottoms with regular shirts.
Best moment this week: Well I guess I can come clean now...I accepted a new job this week as Assistant Vice President Marketing Specialist at our local credit union (there are 9 branches and growing!). I did love my job at the newspaper as creative director/graphic designer but with a new baby it just did not pay for additional daycare, plus there were no benefits such as a 401k, all I had was vacation days. I won't miss my crazy commute up the passes/mountains in the winters or my insane deadlines every week but I will desperately miss my colleagues that have become some of my greatest friends here in Vermont.
Symptoms: I'm still only running a max of 3ish miles at a time due to shin splints. There was something else but I can't remember haha Oh I guess exhaustion obviously!
Miss anything?: A good glass of sauvignon blanc. Even while pregnant I have sips or a couple ounces of wine or beer maybe once every other week but white wines and IPA beers have a weird taste to them now which sucks because they're my favorite.
Movement: It's all the time now regardless of if I am sitting or standing and Tom finally felt a couple kicks for the first time the other day. Every other time he's tried to feel kicking the baby stops of course!
Food cravings: Yes, chocolate and ice cream all the time - I'm good and only gave in once though!
Have you started to show yet?: Oh yeah! I feel like I really popped more this week.
Gender prediction: Little man 2!
Mood: Still exhausted but not quite as moody.
Looking forward to: Starting my new job and relaxing at home this weekend and going to a Super Bowl party tomorrow!

23 weeks

How far along?: 23 weeks
Total weight gain: Like I said last week, I'm not weighing myself anymore. I've been eating really well this week since I want to make sure I'm keeping my weight in check. I've been making really good protein smoothies in the morning and they keep me completely full until lunch and I don't pick as much though out the day too which is something I've always done but gets worse when I'm pregnant. I just put milk, greek yogurt, a scoop of protein powder, kale, frozen blueberries and strawberries and half a banana so I don't even taste the protein and it's wicked good too.
Maternity clothes: Still just maternity bottoms with regular shirts.
Best moment this week: Finn coming up to me, lifting up my shirt, saying baby and kissing my belly without me asking!
Symptoms: Running has been a little more tough this week, I'm just much more tired than normal this week so I've maxed my longest run at 3 miles this week.
Miss anything?: I really wanted an Allagash White beer this week.
Movement: It's pretty constant now but of course whenever I try to have Tom feel it he stops.
Food cravings: Nothing really.
Have you started to show yet?: Oh yeah!
Gender prediction: Little man 2!
Mood: Still exhausted but not quite as moody.
Looking forward to: Going home this weekend with Finn since Tom has to prep for his first semester of teaching Anatomy and Physiology two nights a week at the local community college.
