38 Weeks

Sorry for all of the bathroom pictures, life is busy now and I'm too tired lazy to erase and draw every week on the chalkboard!

How far along?: 38 weeks
Maternity clothes: Still mostly regular clothes but most of my tank tops are a little too short to wear now!
Best moment this week: Going to the reservoir to swim this weekend with the pup in the beautiful weather.
Symptoms: Pretty much exhausted! I definitely have carpel tunnel which wakes me up at least 4 times during the night making my hand tingle and hurt wicked bad. And of course there is nothing I can do for it other than stretch it and try not to use my wrist that much - which is hard since I'm a graphic designer and its my right wrist which is on a mouse all day. It should go away once the baby is born and my hormones are back to normal - or at least I'm hoping it does!
Movement: He is still a very active boy!
Food cravings: Nothing really, but I would love some good Mexican food but that's nothing out of the ordinary.
Have you started to show yet?: Oh yes!
Gender prediction: It's a boy!
Mood: Impatient! I just want him to come already!!!
Looking forward to: Our little man's arrival! I'm writing this at 38w6d so we have just about a week or so left and I'm now very impatient!

32 Weeks

This is the "Before bed, crap its Wednesday night and I don't have a bump update picture" picture...enjoy!

How far along?: 32 weeks
Maternity clothes: Mostly regular clothes that consists of stretchy skirts and sundresses. Luckily I'm a fairly modest person so most of my tank top and t-shirts are long so they [mostly] cover the bump!
Best moment this week: Relaxing for the weekend. Even though it was a pretty crappy weekend it was nice not to have to drive anywhere for once.
Symptoms: Sleep is still pretty bad. I started taking Calms Fort before bed which helps for the first few hours but I still get up to pee which usually means I can't fall back to sleep for at least an hour after that. And that is yet another reason we will be doing the side-car co-sleeping since I have an extremely hard time going back to sleep if I get up and out of bed - no matter how tired I may be its just how I have always been. You could wake me up and have a full conversation but as long as I don't actually get up then I can usually fall back asleep fairly easily.
Movement: Oh yes, he's very active and moving a lot! Tom has been feeling him waaay more and can now feel him squirming and pushing against me.
Food cravings: Nothing really.
Have you started to show yet?: Oh yes!
Gender prediction: It's a boy!
Mood: Just a little tired and feeling like we have so much to do before our little man is here. I'm also a very impatient person so I just want him to be here already!
Looking forward to: Going home for the weekend for a friends wedding. We met on the bus in Kindergarden and I invited her to my birthday party even though I didn't even know her name. Stephanie [I finally asked her name] then ironically moved to my street a few months later and now our moms are very, very good friends too - her mom was always one of my character references on every job application I filled out in high school and most of college! So needless to say it will be a ton of fun and we're pretty excited to get dressed up and dance :)

29 Weeks

Again, getting so busy we haven't had time to change our chalkboard!

How far along?: 29 weeks
Maternity clothes: Mostly regular clothes since I can now wear my stretchy dresses and skirts although the dress above is maternity from H&M and on top of that its organic!
Best moment this week: Being home for the weekend for my shower! My cousin who just had her first baby in October surprised me and came all the way from Virginia so it was a ladies weekend at my house with the most amazing women I know!
Symptoms: Definitely more tired since sleep is not going so well. My stomach also starts to feel really heavy by the end of the day so instead of standing around the kitchen as Tom cooks I bring in a chair.
Miss anything?: Again, just some good wine during this beautiful weather.
Movement: Oh yes, he's very active and moving a lot!
Food cravings: Eh, nothing really still.
Have you started to show yet?: Oh yes!
Gender prediction: It's a boy!
Mood: Happy but very tired. I feel like we have so much more to do to get ready yet we are so busy the next few weeks we won't have time to rest before the baby comes.
Looking forward to: A weekend at home this weekend! My dad is coming in and we are photographing a wedding so even though that will be tiring, at least we won't be driving!

Blogging and why I suck at it

When I started this blog I thought I would post at least 4 times a day, join in link-ups, meet new friends, be witty [ I need to face the fact that I'm not an I never will be ], and that I would take way more pictures and post tons of them. Well that didn't really happen. It did for a little while and I have at least kept up with weekly bump updates but thats about it. I know I have a tendency to take on a lot at once [ I blame that on you mom :) ] and end up very overwhelmed but on the other hand I hate not being busy so it's hard for me to find that happy medium - and I'm pretty sure I have yet to find it, not sure I ever will either!

Life has just gotten in the way with Tom and I being gone almost every weekend and working full time plus having freelance work on top of that its all a bit much. So maybe I should aim for two or three posts a week and make them more interesting than just a link-up.

I've tried to make blog friends, but again, I'm busy and I always have the intention to comment and just seem to forget because I get side tracked with other things on my agenda.

Tom and I have gotten better at taking pictures - he even takes some and says "You can put these on your blog!" [ so the exclamation point may be an exaggeration ]. But then I forget to post/don't have time and then it just seems out of date to post something about our weekend that took place three weeks again [ i.e. our Ithaca weekend where we actually took a lot of pictures ]. And I had all intentions of posting about our weekend in Maine this past weekend but with the Boston bombings it just didn't seem right and I didn't want to write a post on Boston since everything makes me cry right now and that surely would too.

So I promise to write more in-depth posts that are actually meaningful and I promise [ maybe ] to post more than once a week [ most of the time ]. Maybe I'll even begin to post design things although I'm not sure how interesting that will be to anyone.

And I'll just add one of those Ithaca pictures for good measure!

My hot husband at breakfast at the one and only CTB of course!
*And FYI my inspiration for this post was Amber - thanks! [ and yes I mean to comment on your post and forgot :) ]
